Vision
MICC is a Christian community of Bible believers based on three words that shaped the life of the New testament Church: “Kerigma” the proclamation of the Gospel; “Koinonia” the fellowship of the believers, “Diakonia” the service to God, to the world, to each other.
Recognizing the teachings of Jesus and of the New Testament, we aim to be:
- A place of worship for all visitors who are away from their home Churches.
- A place where all Christians are welcome and accepted without any discrimination.
- A place where people can come: to have fellowship; to grow in the knowledge and in the ways of God; to develop a Christian character in a Christian environment, knowing they are loved and accepted, without the need of masks, but just as they are.
- A place where the Word of God is believed and practiced in all aspects of life.
- A place where the Holy Spirit rules and where the gifts and supernatural manifestations are normal and expected to happen.
- A place where “to be” is more important than “to have”, so that people are committed to seek first the Kingdom and the Will of God rather than the lifestyle and principles of today.
- A place where healing, help and support are provided: where those who are hurting can find love, acceptance, guidance, forgiveness, hope and renewal.
- A place of rest for those who are tired and disappointed with life; a lighthouse for those who feel lost and hopeless.
- A place of love, friendship and support, both for the believers and for those who are seeking answers to questions about life.
- An instrument of God for bringing the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, first to the English speaking community of Madeira, and then to all the inhabitants of Madeira.
- A mission minded group of people that sees the whole world as its parish.
